IP Address
An IP address is a unique identifier code for a computer or network that allows users to send and receive data. Typically, there are four types of IP addresses as follows: static, dynamic, public, private. Currently there are 2 versions of IP which are IPv4 and IPv6, in which IPv4 is the widely used standard with a length of 32 bits, IPv6 is the 128-bit standard.
IPv4 and IPv6
An example of an IPv4 address is as follows: 185.107.80.231.
This 32-bit IPv4 address is divided into 4 parts represented in decimal notation from 0 to 255 (256 numbers), each part 8 bits in binary form consisting of 0 and 1 (8 bits ~ 2^8 ~ 256 numbers), separated by a period.
